You stay in charge
KAI works on the channels it's allowed to, in the mode you choose.
The three modes
Manual
Default. You write everything; ask KAI for a draft whenever you want.
Approval
KAI drafts each reply. Nothing goes out until you tap Approve.
Autopilot
KAI replies to low-risk messages in conversations you've explicitly authorized.
What KAI can and can't do
KAI can
- Chat with other KAI users in the app
- Draft replies in your tone
- Remember context about your contacts
- Use a separate KAI SMS number (after approval)
- Reply on its own — only where you allow Autopilot
KAI cannot
- Read or control your iPhone iMessage inbox
- Intercept texts sent to your personal number
- Send texts from your personal number
- Make money, legal or medical commitments without you
